What do the world’s greatest monuments tell us? | Blog by Pratyusha,13,Ambernath

Have you visited a place that has fascinated you? 13 year-old Pratyusha from Ambernath reflects on the magnificent and resilient edifices that have withstood the test of time.
Taj Mahal - Why it is the best tourist spot

The Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum of Rome, the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, the Egyptian pyramids and many more such monuments are considered as the wonders of the world because of their splendid architecture and the people who have done an incredible job in building them.

True, they are breathtaking to look at, but I think there is more to them than just their beauty. To me, these monuments are epitomes of resilience and elegance. They have withstood the test of time, faced the wind and rain and scorching heat, and have yet generously allowed people of all sorts enter them. For centuries, they have had to bear the gruesomeness of those people who have tried to harm their beauty. Yet they have been magnanimously forgiven by these structures.

After all this, these monuments are still standing high and strong, probably to pay a tribute to the people who put in such great efforts to build them. Their creators perished long ago, but their creativity will be witnessed by millions as long as these wonders exist.
