The Festival Of Lights : Diwali
October 25 was the beginning of my Diwali vacation. I was counting my days until Diwali.
Diwali is not just the festival that marks the day in which Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya; it also celebrates fun, friendship, and the bliss of togetherness.
On Diwali, usually I’m in my grandparents’ house. Imagine living in a house by the riverside, having fun with cousins and munching goodies such as peda: a type of milk sweet and rava laddus made with grandma’s magical hands. Last year we had a great time for 15 days, climbing trees and swimming in the river.
On Diwali night, we burst a lot of firecrackers and exchanged gifts and goodies. Behind every spark of cracker that soars in the air lies the true meaning of Diwali fun, happiness, care, friendship and prosperity. Our train back to Chennai was after 2 days and this is how I spent my Diwali last year.
