My Ghost Friend
I always try to boast,
That I once saw a ghost.
He seemed not a scary one,
I was not even scared, even to run.
We chatted for ages,
He told me a spirit’s stages.
He went on to be my new friend,
A story that I would never end.
My family seemed awkward for my behaviour,
They even tried to come for my saviour.
I assured them of my friend,
A friendship that would never bend.
My new friend showed me his power,
Shape-shifting even into a tower.
One day I had woken up,
To ask my ghost friend what’s up.
That day he was nowhere to be seen,
I tried to find him everywhere he would’ve been.
At last I figured he had left,
He might have gone through a cleft.
All that was left behind was that,
His favourite cowboy hat.
I didn’t even get to say goodbye,
I still think what would happen if we die?
