Book Review of Famous Personalities by kids Bookosmia
Book : Famous Personalities
Publisher : Shree Book Centre, Mumbai
Author : Quick reference Biographies (OMNIBUS)
I purchased this book from Book Exhibition held in YMCA ground, Chennai, January’20.I picked up the book since I was impressed on seeing pictures of the personalities on the cover, about whom I knew a little.
The book is a biography of eight personalities who are well known to everyone. First two personalities, about whom I read were Adolf Hitler and A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
Adolf Hitler was a German Emperor, he was self-educated from age of
16 years. His great interest in politics drew him towards it. He was much interested in learning arts. Because of rude nature and anger he became a cruel ruler. It was because of him the phrase “The banality of evil” gained exact meaning.
I learnt how I should not be, from him.
Next personality I read about is, my favorite A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former
President of India and an admirable teacher for all the students. He was
born in a simple family and his curiosity towards learning mathematics
and science made him to pursue aeronautical engineering. He became a
person, fondly known as ‘Missile Man’ or ‘Rocket Man.’ Because of his
determinations he achieved what he dreamt and secured more awards.
Things I learnt from the book:
 How should I give shape to my dream
 How to achieve the goals
 How should I learn good things and identify the bad ones
I would recommend the book to everyone, starting 6 years and above.
I would give this book four out of five stars*

*On a scale of 1-5, 5 being the highest
