Superstition is not a new term in our country. It relates to illogical beliefs which are believed to be unlucky. Unfortunately, this has not only continued in the past but also in the present.
A common superstition in India is the crossing of a black cat on the road which is believed to be a bad omen. Another one is of a slipper lying upside-down which supposedly brings bad luck.
While these beliefs are more prevalent in rural areas, it is seen in almost all areas of the country.
These superstitious do not help us at all.
The society should get rid of this practice for the betterment of the country.
