I am immensely inspired by Sudha Murty, the first female to join a male- dominated engineering company. I love reading her books a lot.

One cannot help fall in love with her writing. She is a lady who plays multiple roles in her life of a determined doer, an amazing author, an intelligent engineer, and a diligent social worker.

She believes that money is a heavy bag on one’s back and one should lead a simple life by donating as much as they can.

In today’s world, at least to most people a cool lady is defined as a person who has tattoos, wears a mini skirt and has pink hair.

According to me, she is the right example of a cool lady. She wears a cotton saree and remains an inspiration for people of all generations.

For her efforts she has been awarded the Padma Shri. I am inspired by her not only because of her contribution to literature in Kannada and English but also because of the substantial amount of social work she has done.

“Money is one thing which rarely unites and mostly divides people,” she once said. What an icon she is!
