Vishnu’s avatars art
There are 24 avatars of Vishnu among that I have choosen 11 avatars. I have selected this picture to honour Vishnu for his guidance and help through these avatars.
The first avatar of Vishnu is Matsya who forms the shape of a fish( half man- half fish), after alerting Manu the fisherman about a flood.
The second avatar is Kurma, who was formed as a turtle( half man- half turtle). We give our thanks to Kurma for alerting about the balance of Mandra Mountain as a churning rod and for balancing his back on Mandra mountain to get the celestial nectar.
The third avatar is Varaha , who balanced the earth on his tusk by saving the earth from a violent flood.
The fourth avatar is Narasimha , who saved us from Hiranyakasipu and took a form of half human and half lion.
The fifth is Vamana, who tamed the King Bali fron his arrogance and foolishness.
The sixth is Parashurama, who saved us from the evil Kyshatriyas and killed each one of them for his father’s sake.
The seventh is Rama, who saved us from the demon Ravana and also saved his wife Sita.
The eighth avatar is Krishna, who saved us in many ways.
The ninth is Buddha, who stopped all the arguments , fights and always stayed calm.
