============================================================

Dear Travelers,

If you’re looking for a hill station with surreal beauty and misty hills ,I have a  great recommendation for you- the Scotland of India, COORG!

In this piece I am going to share my experience there.

I gave a sigh of relief, followed by a shriek of delight! Mummy, Daddy and I had just reached our resort, Evolve Back. After taking a flight to Bangalore and  then a long drive, we finally reached our destination. In the drive, I saw towering mountains in contrast to their misty tops.

Our resort had a breathtaking setting, with luxurious rooms. That day was  spent in exploring the resort and then buzzing off to sleep. Early next
day, we went on a nature walk. We also went to see Coorg’s famous coffee plantations! Let me tell you that Coorg is one of the highest producers of coffee in India. Later, we went to Coorg’s famous ‘Raja’s Seat’. This place  offered a panorama of lush-green valleys.

After watching the sunset, we went and had dinner. Being vegetarians, we had  scrumptious dishes like Akki Roti and bamboo shoot curry. The next day, we visited Abbey falls, one of Coorg’s famous waterfalls. The rumbling of the Abbey Falls was deafening. As it tumbled down, it merged with river Kaveri.

After having a picnic, we went back and the next day our two- night trip was over. I took back a few tins of coffee as souvenir. Then we went back to  Kolkata.

This trip was an exhilarating experience. The best part was the beauty of  nature everywhere. This place is a must-visit for any nature-lover.
