Caravan trip – Travel Blog| By 8 year old from Bangalore
Whoa! 8 year old Aaryan from Bangalore went on a caravan trip! How cool! Have you also gone on one?
My wish was to travel in a caravan. Recently, my wish came true as we traveled in a camper van which is called LuxeCamper, and my brother joined me on the trip, I met him after two years which made it more exciting.
After a long journey, we made it to a local restaurant for breakfast on the highway. After a while, I fell asleep and when I woke up, I was at the camp site, the camp site name was Harley-Estate, a beautiful place full of greenery.
There was a lake, a pond, a waterfall, a hanging bridge, a coffee plantation, arecanut, and so many other things.
There were cycles kept for us already too!
We walked uptil our tents which were ready. We were greeted by the staff and we went to the lounge and had some yummy lunch, then my brother and I went fishing and caught three fishes! We met some fishing guides too who told us that they had spotted a turtle in the pond.
In the evening, we went for a short trek and found an amazing stream. We took plenty of photos. I also took my Instax Polaroid camera and captured some lovely moments with it.
Then it was soon getting dark and we watched the sunset, had snacks, played board games, then finally we had a bonfire. We relaxed, lay down under the sky and watched stars. We fried paneer, mushrooms ,corn, capsicum in the barbecue.
We fell asleep talking amidst the amazing greenery, to the sound of flowing water and insects and cricket sounds around!
The next day I woke up feeling fresh and excited to the amazing sound of chirping birds, then we went for a walk and on the way we went to a hanging bridge. Under the hanging brigde there was crystal clean water filled with big and small rocks and we saw a lot of tiger fish. It was so much fun trying to catch fish and tadpoles with our clothes, an old trick for fishing, courtesy my grandmother.
We walked back to the lounge area then we dried off and shortly after, we had tasty breakfast. We made friends with fellow campers at site and cycled with them and played ball games.
Later, unwillingly we had to pack up and head back to Bangalore!
Nevertheless, we had more fun while travelling back in the caravan. We sang, danced, played board games and guess what my aunt had got Go Pro and we spoke about lots of things on the go and recorded them for memories! I will cherish my first caravan trip always.
This caravan was always a dreamy fancy thing since I watched it in Peppa Pig cartoon. Now I had experienced it! We reached home by evening and bid good bye to our team and caravan.
Later, my grandparents had prepared amazing favourites for our dinner ,so we had a picnic at our balcony and spoke about the trip and had ice cream and saw pictures together. To wind up, the next morning we dropped my brother at the railway station. End of holiday.
