Lia’s Adventure At The Beach

Making New Friends at the Beach

One day, a nine year old girl named Lia was going to travel to Kollam, Kerala, with her parents during the summer holidays on a train. They reached their destination after some time and went to a hotel. After taking some rest, they went to the beach where Lia made two new friends, Jenny and Kira. All three of them made lots of sandcastles, played many fun games and ran across the beach. After Lia’s new friends went home, she too felt tired and wanted to return to the hotel.

When Lia Gets Lost

Suddenly, she couldn’t find her parents anywhere. Lira panicked and went around the beach looking for them. “I am lost,” she cried loudly. As she walked, she saw a big fat bird. It was a Pelican! She felt a bit scared and kept walking. When she looked around, she saw a dolphin jumping over the sea. Lia also saw a mother crab and two baby crabs near the sandcastles she had built with her friends. Lia was thrilled to see the lovely sea creatures, but missed her parents a lot. After walking some distance, she suddenly saw an empty water bottle. She thought to herself, “Its my mom’s bottle.” Lia picked it up and kept moving. Soon, she saw some pebbles leading up to a tunnel and kept following them.

A Lesson Learned by Lia

As she approached the end of the tunnel, she saw her parents standing there. They were too worried and had been looking for Lia. She hugged her parents finally, and all of them cried. Lia narrated the entire adventure to her mom and dad once they got back to the hotel, and promised never to go anywhere without informing them.
