Bird Migration : The Toucan and the Penguin | Story by Dia,7

What do birds do when they migrate? 7-year-old Dia from Delhi writes a story about it.

Once upon a time, there lived a penguin named Pengi. She used to live in Antarctica. She was a very kind bird who loved to make new friends.

One day, a toucan called Tutu came visiting from Hawaii, because it became too hot in Hawaii. Tutu was quite an adventurous bird. When Pengi saw Tutu she felt very happy and waved out her wings to Tutu. Tutu said to Pengi, “Let’s be friends.”

Pengi and Tutu went to catch fish, then they went to each other’s houses.

Then they came back and made a snowman. Pengi told Tutu, “ I have always wanted to visit India.” Tutu found that to be a great idea! So they flew off to Goa for a week.

Since it was Christmas time, Tutu and Pengi decided to go to the North Pole. There they met Santa Claus. Their adventures were getting more and more exciting. They played with the elves, rode on the sleigh, and had lots of fun. They also met Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer.

Then Tutu said, “Now it’s time for me to go because it is getting too cold in the North Pole.”

Ever since, Tutu and Pengi meet every year for Christmas.
