A Little Girl From a Village
There are five villages named Kalangapatti, Kandakadu, Alagapuram Shree Sapthagiri, and Thillaiyadi. One day, a little boy named Franchestole was born in Kalangapatti. When he was nine years old, he received the best gift from his parents: a little baby sister was born!
Franchestole was so happy. He thought that from then on, he could enjoy playing with his sister. They named her Fahalya Franshe. By the time Franshe was eight years old, Franchestole’s father, Franbeslotten, and his mother, Farren Fia Fenella, were all living very happily together.
However, Fahalya wished to study, but there was no school in Kalangapatti. So, the parents decided to move to another city. Fahalya didn’t know they were planning this move. One day, while Fahalya was playing with her friends in Kandakadu, Franchestole and his parents decided to surprise her by moving to Chennai for her studies.
While they were preparing to leave, Franchestole went to Kandakadu and called for Fahalya without telling her the secret. Fahalya asked, “Why are you calling me now, my dear sweetest brother?”
Franchestole said, “Mother told me to call you.”
Fahalya said, “Okay.”
When they got home, her mother told her a little white lie. She said, “We need to go to your uncle’s house immediately because your grandpa is not feeling well.” Fahalya had not yet had the chance to meet her uncle’s family or her grandpa, so she acted as if she knew everyone. Then, Fahalya went to get ready for the trip.

After Fahalya went to get ready, the father called his wife’s brother (their “Mama”) and said, “Please find me a good job in Chennai.” Mama replied, “I will find you a good job, but you must live in my house with my family. After a few years, you will earn enough money for dear Franchestole and Fahalya to complete their studies.” The father laughed and agreed.
The next morning at 6:00 AM, they went from Kandakadu to the Cuddalore railway station. They reached Chennai at 1:00 PM that afternoon. After living at their uncle’s house for a year, they moved into a rental home, and three years later, they built a house of their own.
Finally, Franchestole and Fahalya started going to school. Until the very first day, Franshe still didn’t know she was actually going to be a student! When she arrived, she was so surprised and happy that she hugged her mother and father.
However, the teacher initially didn’t want to allow Fahalya and Franchestole into the classroom because Fahalya was already 12 years old and her brother was 13.
They spoke to the school principal and explained they were from a village and had never been to school before. The principal suggested they might need to start from LKG (Lower Kindergarten), but they eventually convinced him to give them a chance. After thinking it over, the principal said, “Okay.”
Franchestole and Fahalya studied very hard and soon became the toppers of their class. As they grew up, they achieved great things. Fahalya prepared for the UPSC exam, passed it, and three years later, she became a District Collector.
She used her success to build a school in Kandakadu and Kalangapatti. Meanwhile, Franchestole became a marine engineer and built a hospital in Kalangapatti. Their parents were incredibly happy and proud.
Moral of the Story: If you have a wish to learn—rather than being forced—you will lead a successful life.
