Letter to Mother Earth
Dear Mother Earth,
Manmade hazards like pollution, deforestation, global warming, etc. are harming you, and us too. You are our home. If you are destroyed all the living organisms will perish and die. That is why I have decided to help conserve you by raising awareness in my society and the nearby areas with my school mates regarding the same.
My school mates and I will protest against these manmade hazards and raise the awareness amongst people to grow more trees. We will also follow reforestation which will help you. Some of the selected students will also write a letter to different people like the Governor, CM, Heads of Different Surveys related to preserving trees and environment. We will write them to help, and support us and raise awareness all over India.
Some countries like Japan cut trees and then plant it in another place, so that the trees do not get reduced and their country also gets developed. I want this same thing to happen all over the world, because it is beneficial in both ways, for development and health.
Mining and other underground works is also harming you, because it causes earthquakes, which at first will only destroy nearby houses and trees, but when earthquakes will occur often, the tectonic plates can shift and may cause melting of ice, shifting of landmass which can cause floods and destruction of trees, mountains and other natural ecosystems.
We will try to use electric and public vehicles as much as possible, which will reduce air pollution. We also will try to grow more trees and limit deforestation and mining, etc. I hope that my schoolmates’ letters inspire the office bearers, so that they can help us in raising the awareness, which will help in saving you and of course all the living beings.
Yours faithfully, Parth
