My visit to Kanyakumari Part1: Travelogue
On a boring afternoon, I was sitting and watching cartoons while my father broke the news that tomorrow we’ll be leaving for Kanyakumari. I was not able to control my joy and excitement. On Sunday morning, we left for Kanyakumari via the Kanyakumari sf express.
Early in the morning as the sun rose and the chirping of birds echoed through our hotel bedroom, we set out to the glass bridge. I reached there and was awestruck. I could see the whole of the Indian ocean. We took a ferry to the glass bridge. I also noticed that there were also many foreigners from various parts of the globe. Though it was exciting I was also a bit scared that the glass may break if I jumped. After this we went to see the legendary Thiruvalluvar statue located in the height of 1300 feet above sea level. This statue is also known as the statue of wisdom. We then had our lunch of hot biryani and then set out to our hotel after enjoying the beautiful sunset with an addition of Oreo milkshake.
My visit to Kanyakumari Part 2: Travelogue

That sunset literally captured our mind. Gratitude is a form of attitude. We then began our 2nd day in Kanyakumari by praying in the temple to thank God for the wonderful things he has blessed us with. The most exciting part was that we were going to enjoy the rest of our trip along with my aunt and my cousin sisters. We then set out to the famous Mathoor Hanging bridge after mmmm… I have no words to describe the tasty kotthu parotta which is the most significant food in Kanyakumari. We then reached the Mathoor Hanging Bridge. It was a bit scary because it was 1040 feet above ground. I thought I was in an adventure park because the bridge was too narrow to walk together.

We then had some hot bhelpuri and by then it was the afternoon and the sun was shining at its utmost. We smiled. It was perfect to go to the Thiruparuppu falls. It was extremely amazing to enjoy and ..splish.splash.splias.. we enjoyed the waterfalls thoroughly. You know what? My cousin sister Neha who was just 5 years old was very scared when she stepped inside but then after the water splashed on her face she became a cheerful sparrow ready to flutter .We all then came out and as my parents ,uncle and my aunt had hot coffee .While me ,my brother, my cousins Sara and Sneha had hot dumplings with Chilli sauce and we had vanilla ice cream. Our train back to Chennai is tomorrow. And guess what? My cousins and everyone are coming with us to Chennai to enjoy a week on the shores of Marina Beach.
