Journalism With A Happy Touch – Silent Reflection I Essay By Maira
One little thing that gave me joy recently was something about a look at childhood funs and connecting them with my today’s passion.
I was returning after giving my Social Science exam with my mum today 26/2.
It went really well and I was happy about it. It was something of my interest (though sometimes overwhelming) I have been recently aspiring to look forward to social opportunities like UN or NGO in the future.
We stopped by the snacks store. I saw a stall with many magazines on the very top, a children’s magazine. With the sign on the stand saying “journalism with a happy touch” (as far as I can recall).
It really inspired me as I recalled the times, I used to read magazines like Champak at home or the school library.
Also, the fact that I have recently started submitting digital entries to kids publishing sites,
The sentence on the sign created a spark and I decided to buy the children’s magazine (the one I found first at sight- ‘Magic Pot’).
Also reminded me of the amazing book magazines- Reader’s Digest
I had a look through it.
To be very honest, it wasn’t the style I longed for like in Champak (sad disappointment- though it was due to difference of age groups in target audiences of both magazines)
However, it’s still a cool collection to have to link that exciting moment when I read “Journalism With A Happy Touch”
