Lily’s happy moment of understanding

A Celebration to Remember

One day Lily was happy.

“Mom, Dad, Brother,” she yelled. “I’m going to Zoe’s birthday party.”

“Shut up, you girl,” said her brother. “A birthday party is so boring. I only care about spending time with my family.”

Her Mom told, “She’s little, let her get excited about this. When you were small, you would also be excited to go to other people’s birthday parties. So stop judging her.”

“Sorry,” said her brother Tom.

Lily then asked her parents what a celebration is. Her parents explained to her. They said, “Celebration is a moment that we remember forever. It might be with family, friends, and it becomes a happy moment when we come together and celebrate.”
