Diwali and Me
My Favourite Festival
I always look forward to celebrating my favourite festival, Diwali. Diwali is celebrated because Lord Rama returned from his 14-year exile. It is celebrated across the world by bursting crackers and worshipping Lord Rama.
My Experience with Crackers
I enjoy celebrating Diwali as it brings people together. When I was young, I was scared of crackers because they released a lot of smoke and were really loud. As I grew older, I realised that we can also buy eco-friendly firecrackers that release less smoke compared to others.
A Lesson Learned
During Diwali, crackers are used everywhere, and they can catch fire, creating a disaster. Lots of roads are blocked, which creates a lot of traffic. I learned that Diwali should be celebrated more mindfully, and I hope that everyone celebrates Diwali in an eco-friendly and safe way.
