What if emotions, bliss and melancholy had a conversation?
Melancholy: I often wonder if sorrow is truly negative. I find it
calming, even beautiful.
Bliss: Isn’t that your role as Melancholy—to find solace in sorrow?
Melancholy: Yes, but there’s something about releasing emotions.
About letting go, that brings a sense of peace. It’s almost…
blissful.
Bliss: Blissful? That’s my domain.
Melancholy: I know. Maybe our emotions aren’t mutually
exclusive. Maybe they’re intertwined… but that sounds weird.
Bliss: Maybe not; I can relate to what you are saying.
Melancholy: I suppose it is a sad kind of bliss.
Bliss: Maybe we aren’t as different as we think we are.
