Why Slow Learning Is A Blessing

In the world of fast courses and activities, the impact of slow learning is getting neglected and boredom is becoming more common. Though, being more impactful and deep, the slow learning strategy has not been adopted as a key to success in many individuals lives. Nowadays , slow learning is getting outdated and teased by many of the others.
Slow vs Fast Learners
The slow learners often do not get an equal treatment with the fast learners . So, The slow learners are becoming the fresh target of depression and fall into the pit of anxiety.
Reason – Pace of time
The only reason behind it is “The pace of time“. In this fast moving world, we all are busy with our tasks . Many of us don’t even have the time to eat breakfast at home in the morning . We are always running in a human race, to complete everything on time.
In the race, everyone will applaud for the gold medalists or the first scorer and will neglect the last one with great bitterness. Though both of them completed the race on their ability, the last finisher never gets any applause for their efforts.
Why Am I so Slow?
The same thing is happening among the fast learners and slow learners . Everyone praises the ones who capture an essence of a topic very quickly while lacking behind the slow learners at the back, saying them “With no so smart brains“ . As the slow learners are slow in learning , everyone taunts them and calls them with different names. Day after day, as this tendency worsens throughout the class, slow learners begin to feel depressed and anxious. They lose interest in learning and often ask themselves, ‘Why am I so slow?’
My Experience in Life
As a slow learner, I faced many difficulties in my childhood. Many of my classmates teased me, gave me different nicknames, and asked if I was from a ‘different planet.’ Honestly , the cruel reviews about myself, hurts me a lot and a lot after times . In my writing diary, I also asked myself page after page, “ Why am I so slow ?”
Days after days, things got worse. I lost my curiosity and interest in learning any subject deeply. After teaching , when the teachers asked about doubts, I simply nodded my head with other classmates and lacked behind my performance in report cards.
Getting a Lesson
Later , when I became a teenager, I Changed my track again and transferred to my previous learning style . Interestingly, I understood that the slow learning is more enjoyable and conceptual than boring and irritating.
Curiosity and Admiration
Understanding a topic deeply and formally is full of curiosity and admiration .
To me, slow learning becomes a blessing more than an insult or humiliation . As per me, my classmates, who are fast learners, study briefly, their knowledge is limited but my knowledge pot knows no limits.
Though, I need more time to understand, to learn and to capture the essence of a single topic, I enjoy learning, deep thinking and creating the ideas and concepts in my way, with slow learning.
Conclusion
To conclude, I mostly learn with kids who take their time. The fast learners also have their own qualities and ways. Briefly , everyone in the world has diversities, thoughts and different speeds of learning. Proper learning matters the most , more than the speed of learning . Whether it’s slow or fast, if the concepts are not clear, there are no means of it .
At the end , I want to say to all the slow learners that slow learning is not an embarrassment, but an embrace . Slow learning is a blessing over this fast moving world .
