Thunder I Poem by Manya Choksi

Thunder

“Clarity strikes not in chaos, but in the stillness that follows it.”Manya Choksi

When the winds halted,

And the dust settled down.

For the thunder-

To pave its way out.

Striking fiercely,

Deep in the melancholy gloom.

Loudly outshining,

The quiet twilight bloom.

Weaving through the clouds lace,

Sought to complete a pattern.

Puzzled as I saw it,

Fitting in as sky’s lantern.

It came to me, nearer and clearer

Completing the sky’s view.

As for me, I had a new perspective now,

Through my heart and soul, which sew.

Manya Choksi

The summary and symbolism of the poem…

In this poem, thunder symbolizes a sudden realization or a key piece of understanding that connects all past thoughts and experiences. Just as thunder appears only when the sky is calm—free of winds and dust—this clarity comes when the mind is still and undistracted.

The thunder represents a powerful insight that strikes deeply into a confused and unsettled mind. It stands out among all other thoughts, bringing meaning and direction. As it “weaves through the clouds,” it reflects how the mind begins to connect scattered ideas into a complete pattern.

At first, this realization feels puzzling, but gradually it becomes clear, like a lantern lighting up the sky. In the end, everything makes sense, offering a new perspective that stays deeply rooted in the heart and soul.
