The Magical Shooting Star
Once upon a time in the village of Atlantica, there was a girl named Jessica, or Jess. Jess had a dog named Rory. One cold night, a shooting star fell from the sky. Everyone saw it in awe.

The next day, the chief of the village said whoever finds and brings back proof of shooting star would be rewarded with 1000 dollars. When the newspaper man gave the newspaper to her, one line caught her attention. It said:
“Whoever brings back proof of the shooting star shall be rewarded with 1000 dollars.”
She turned to Rory and said, “Rory, pack up, we are going to find the shooting star!”
At midnight, they headed in the direction of the shooting star. They walked through deserts, climbed mountains, swam through seas, and many more challenges on the way. Then she saw the shooting star.
“We found it, Rory!” she said with a laugh. “How are we going to get proof of this thing?”

Just then, a blue figure came out of the rock. “I’m your genie. Feel free to call me Genie.”
Jess was lost for words. Rory growled at him. “Relax, dog!” Genie said. As Rory was about to jump on him, Genie stopped Rory in midair. “How?!” Jess asked. “Magic, of course!” Genie replied.
“Who are you?!” she asked. “I’m Genie!” he said, putting down Rory. “Okay, here’s the thing. I’ll grant you one wish, then I can go back to my eternal peace. Okay?!”
Jess thought. Then she said one word: “Kindness.”
Genie was surprised. “Not gold, wealth, a castle? Why kindness?”
Jess smiled. “That’s all I need,” she said.
The Genie granted her wish. She went back home. She grew up to be my aunt. Every time I visit, she says the same story.
