The Fossil of Flying Dinosaur

In the heart of an Australian city, there lived 2 nine-year-old girls named Tina and Liza. They were best friends. Their relationship has brought both families closer. Both the families like to hang out together and like to spend their weekends together. Tina’s grandfather was an archaeologist. He always read non-fiction books and watched documentaries. Gradually Tina’s interest was drawn towards learning about animals’ fossils. During her school lunch break she always collected dry leaves and pebbles. In the evening, she showed it to her grandfather.

One weekend the two families planned for a picnic. They packed their picnic mat, fishing poles, diaries, food, tent, pail and shovel. The girls helped their parents to fix the tent. Initially they went fishing. Moms started doing barbecue. The girls wanted to make a castle with the sand. They dig more and more. As they dug, Liza found a long and thin bone. Liza called Tina. They shouted loudly, “Hurray!”. Hearing this Tina’s father went there and said, “Do not touch or try to remove the fossil. You may damage the fossil.” Tina called her grandfather and asked, “Which animal fossil is this?”

The archaeologist team arrived. Several workers came and said, “We will take a month to identify the fossil.” After a month, one day Tina’s grandfather called Tina and Liza and said, “We have identified it.”  It is a 100-year-old dinosaur pterosaur’s skeleton. Liza and Tina were so happy that they could know which animal fossil it was. Liza, Tina and Tina’s grandfather came on the TV news.
