The Busy Beaver
The Busy Beaver comes out at day,
Having no intentions but to play
He plays and plays all day
Until he gets tired and sees a sack of hay.
The Busy Beaver is hard at work,
While other people stare and lurk
He continues with his astonishing woodwork
And gives them a cute little smirk
Now that the beaver is done with his house,
He hides in the corner like a shy grouse-
Then in his house comes a tiny mouse,
The beaver takes some water and douses it out
The beaver sits there in pain,
All his gain just gone in a day
All his hard work down the drain
Everything gone in just a day.
Jobs come and go, life moves slow,
Something’s come and go, That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t follow the flow.
Like the brave beaver we should bear it, high or low !
