About the Author:
Archisha Sarath was born in Australia, where she and her parents lived for fourteen years. She started reading before she could walk, and always dreamed of becoming an author. After moving to India, she began volunteering at Sei Sanjeevani, a Cerebral Palsy Care Centre, where she soon went from interviewing children, parents and physiotherapists for the centre’s social media, to asking herself a question: why had none of the picture books she’d grown up with featured characters like the remarkable kids she was meeting? She realised she wanted to create positive representation for kids with CP, giving them the chance to see themselves as the heroes of their own stories – where the child takes centre stage, not their disability.
