Purpose of Life: Do We Discover It or Create It?

What is the purpose of life do we have one or do we create it?

“A man who has a why to live can bear almost any how.” — Friedrich Nietzsche.

A Question Beyond Ordinary Understanding

These words hint at something quite beyond a normal human being’s understanding. It makes us ponder if we have to find our purpose in life  or create it. This topic is one of What ifs and Why . In this world of different cultures and beliefs is life guided by some eternal being or are we the architects of our own life?

Goals, Destiny, and Free Will

This world is divided into many types of people however the one thing that makes us similar is that we have goals and a destiny , but is this destiny preset or do we make this destiny?

Belief, God, and Personal Responsibility

Some believe in finding one’s purpose in life and others leave it in the hands of god and continue with their lives. Personally , I believe God can only help you when you decide to help yourself . God isn’t a genie who’s there to grant your every wish , rather he is a mentor, a guide , he is the person who will be with you holding your hand till you reach your destiny.

Purpose Is Shaped by Actions and Passions

To find your purpose in life one always helps design it through one or the other action. Purpose is not something you stumble upon by accident. It’s shaped by your actions, your passions, and your choices. For example, a child who loved drawing may grow up to become an artist, but enough to show how our interests shape our future.

Life Is Not Fixed at Birth

If life were predictable and easy, perhaps there would be no need for heaven or hope. Our purpose is not something fixed at birth, it is the result of our actions, our decisions, and the values we choose to live by.

Purpose Changes Through Life Stages

I feel that purpose is something that keeps you going on in life something which drives you , but purpose can change in every stage of your life when you were a kid you wanted to be a teenager living the life full of freedom and fun , in your 20’s you want a high paying job in your field , When your in your 50’s you want to retire and be with your family.

Live a Life Without Regrets

So live a life doing something which makes your 8 year old self proud and something your 80 year old self can look back happily on without regrets.
