Oral Hygiene

Our teeth help us to eat, talk and smile. Oral hygiene is very important for a healthy body. In ancient times, even in villages, people used neem sticks and sugarcane stems which are natural cleansing agents for the teeth.

Brushing the teeth twice a day is very important. If not , germs can cause cavities, bad breadth and tooth pain. Brush the teeth in a circular shape. We should use a proper toothpaste and tooth brush to brush the teeth. Change the brush regularly.

In those days, people used to have strong teeth and people rarely visited the dentist, but now  visiting the dentist for oral check ups every 6 months  is mandatory.

The greatest enemy to our teeth health is sugary items like chocolate, sweets and junk food which needs to be stopped. We should eat calcium rich foods like milk, fruits and vegetables for healthy teeth and healthy gum.

World Oral hygiene day is celebrated on 20th March. Rinse your mouth regularly. Always use mouth wash to remove bad smell from the mouth.

A bright smile comes from healthy teeth.Let us take care of our teeth everyday.
