Note To The Author For ‘Mahabharata – Unheard Voices’
Dear Aashritha,
I recently read your book Mahabharata: Unheard Voices, and I absolutely loved it! I got to know about some really interesting Mahabharata characters I hadn’t heard of before, like Ashwatthama, Uttara, and Vidura. I also learned more about characters I already knew like Gandhari and Shakuni but in much greater detail.
I really liked the way you described the characters in the book, especially how you presented the stories through their dialogues. The blurb was also very engaging and made me excited to read the book.
My favourite character from the book is Ashwatthama. This is truly one of the best story books I have read.
Thank you for writing such a wonderful book!

Some say the Kurukshetra war between the Pandavas and the Kauravas would never have happened if not for a few flawed characters – vengeful Ashwatthama, meek Uttaraa, cold-blooded Shakuni, callous Gandhari and biased Vidura.
But who decides who is good and who is not?
How can we judge the actions of a person whose real story we do not know?
Packed with wisdom, compassion and intrigue, this exquisitely written book by prodigy Aashritha Surya Prakash, complemented with outstanding illustrations by Pooja Saklani, shows us through this age-old epic just how important it is to listen to someone’s story before judging them.
“With this book, I aim to show that nobody is completely bad or good. However, life isn’t like that. We have different shades to our personalities,” says the young author.
