My Space Adventure
Blast Off Into Outer Space
I was bored, and no one was home. To keep myself entertained, I went into my neighbour’s backyard and snuck inside the rocket he’d built. After some time, I felt curious and pressed the big, multi-coloured button. The rocket shot straight into outer space the moment I pressed it.
Through the rocket window, I saw millions of stars sparkling in the dark sky. Strange, oddly shaped rocks drifted by, and faraway galaxies shimmered in the distance. I was fascinated! Surrounded by the infinite beauty of space, I soon grew sleepy and dozed off.
Landing on Slime-O-Mania
A loud thud suddenly woke me. A shiver ran down my spine. The rocket had landed on a new planet—Slime-O-Mania!
The landscape was peculiar. The creatures were made of icky, gooey, green slime. Their houses were built from purple goo, and blue goo flowed in the rivers. In the sky, a green sun hung on the horizon.
The gooey creatures stared at me as I nervously stepped out of the rocket. I shook hands with each of them. They introduced themselves and told me to call them “The Band,” as all their names were based on musical instruments.
The Clock is Ticking!
I chatted with The Band for a while, forgetting I had to return to Earth. One of them finally reminded me that one hour on their planet equals a whole day on Earth. I panicked, I had to get home!
When I tried to start the rocket, I discovered the fuel tank was empty. I told The Band about my situation, and they kindly helped me refill the tank with their special type of fuel.
Back to Earth
Thanks to their powerful fuel, I returned to Earth at double the speed. When I got home, my parents hugged me tightly, overjoyed to see me safe. I kept my outer space journey a secret from everyone… for a long time.
