A Voyage to Munnar
My five-hour trip,
Held in the car, captive and fettered,
Counting helpless drips,
Not thinking of getting better.
As soon as the mountains paved the way,
To glory in a strange leafy land it be.
The cows and monkeys seated at the bay,
I didn’t know what I had in thee.
Morning sunshine, broke through the window,
The green mountainous land filled with grace,
The leafy green nature heights,
Having many unwanted frights.
Tea estates, lush green,
Tea plucked, keen and clean,
Tea leaves being crushed, cut, and curled,
In a factory that has never been hurled.
Purple, lavender trees creased with hope,
Standing tall only with flowers of dew,
In a dense, beautiful hill, like a rope,
Mesmerized, because I see so few.
Can’t forget the rock delight,
Cool water flowing in excitement and glee,
My feet having a frosty bite,
On a scale, awe dropping and free.
A troop of monkeys roaming in relief,
Sharing Treasures And good vibes,
Them not having any grief,
What curiousness in thee,
Thy enjoy the party of their lives.
Having no regrets, going through strive,
Seeing natures’ father,
Almost the best time of my life,
A journey back really bothers.
