On a hot sunny day, I was watching my favorite cartoon on television, when my father announced that our trip to Kashmir was abrogated. Everyone frowned sadly. We were waiting for this extraordinary trip to visit Kashmir to experience snow without flying abroad. My little brother Sarwin even began whimpering softly. That’s when my father yelled with joy that we have tickets to Shimla this very evening. HUH! I sat up still. I was extremely overjoyed on hearing this. I didn’t expect this surprise. Though visiting Shimla was a standout in my bucket list, I never thought I would be able to strike it out.
Okay now let’s go an explore Shimla! That night we caught a car to the Chennai International Airport and zoomed our way to Shimla. Early in the morning as the sun rose and the chirping of the birds echoed through our bedroom window in Shimla, I slowly rubbed my eyes and opened the window and saw …. A new world in Shimla!
