The Secret Treasure

My friend and I were walking along the street after school. It was a windy day. Suddenly, we spotted an old brown envelope lying near a dustbin. Curious, we picked it up and found a letter inside. It was covered in dirt, as though it had been there for a long time.

We opened it carefully; the letter was about a secret treasure in the old building at the end of our street. It said, ” The treasure can only be opened with the key given here.”

The envelope also had a small rusty key inside. Along with the key, there was an ancient necklace made of gold.  It looked so royal; we thought it belonged to a princess who had lived thousands of years ago.

The building mentioned in the letter was the old, abandoned building everybody was scared of, everyone believed it was haunted because no one had lived there for years

But we were brave. We followed the clues in the letter and unlocked the dusty wooden door with the key.

Inside were several gold coins, books, letters and many precious things from the past.

To celebrate our amazing discovery, our parents held a grand gala in our garden. They invited everyone; my friend and I were the chief guests. We told the whole story and showed the ancient necklace to everyone.

It was the best day ever.
