Pitter-Patter the rain fell, as I pulled back the curtains to look at a view so breath taking. The trees were dancing to the rhythm of the rain, their leaves shimmering with droplets, looking like tiny jewels. Raindrops created a tranquil melody that sounded like a lullaby. I could see the city lights twinkling on the raindrops on my window. People were scurrying by, sheltering themselves with umbrellas looking colourful flowers adding a splash of colour to dull and grey day. Beyond the window, the world transformed into a watercolour painting, its hues and shades blended together by the never ending rain. The wind picked up and the once gentle drizzle turned into a heavy rain. Thunder roared like a hungry lion and lightning rippled throughout the sky. Gradually, the rain started to lighten and patches of blue sky peeked through the clouds. The Earth was once again refreshed and the smell of petrichor arose. The trees were once again green and fresh and small droplets of water remained as the world gradually returned to its daily routine. It was a scene both ordinary and extraordinary,  captured in a moment of reflection and wonder, as I sat by my window, observing the beauty of nature.
