As we soak in this unbelievable moment to see SIX of our published writers at Bookosmia winning 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze awards at the iconic Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition for 2024, conducted by the Royal Commonwealth Society, we know our young Indian voices are ready and deserving of being heard and celebrated, loud and clear, not just in India but across the globe!
The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, the world’s oldest international writing competition for schools, started in 1883 and sees thousands of participants across 55+countries every year. Last year 34,000 entries were received and hundreds of judges took 2-3 months to select a handful of winners across Gold, Silver and Bronze prizes.
These six young writers our published authors at Bookosmia, having been mentored by award-winning author Archana Mohan who runs our Sprouts program to mentor young people with ideas into published authors and a weekly creative class for children and young adults above 8+
