Wonder
We sometimes sit and wonder,
Why does the sun rise in the east, or what causes thunder?
And why we taste sweet and sour?
Not everyone knows the answers to these questions.
Some do, with a creative mind,
But no one knows how to find.
The big black thing at night—
The world has many wonders.
Some are beautiful, like the crystal-clear lakes,
Even ancient ones, like dinosaur bones,
Are sometimes more interesting than phones.
Some people think they cannot wonder,
Busy with their buzzing phones,
Looking at texts with moans and groans.
They don’t stop and wonder—
The beauty of Earth’s green upholster.
