What makes me a poet
What makes me a poet
Are they the incidents of natsukashii or yugen?
Or is it the coherence of my pen?
Raindrops around me or
Blackbird sitting on the tree
What makes me a poet is not so archetypal indeed
But often things aren’t the same as we see
And observing ethereal nuances is what we do as a poet you see
For those who aren’t graced by emotional intelligence,
poetry is nothing more than a couple rhyming stanzas
But for me as a thalassophile, poetry is my 7 seas
I am known for poetry lang syne
I am honored by the presence of poetry
If you want to rationalise life in your life,
bring poetry,
solve your life’s mystery.
