We, The Gen Z I Poem By Jishnutha Reg

We, The Gen Z

We are in an era of Gen Z,

Stuck to phones and are never free.

In Nepal, their protests created frenzy,

It seems the most powerful age is Gen Z.

They initiated a verbal revolution,

Words like sus, salty, snack are its evolution.

They think its sigma and love to flex,

But some are in Delulu, they are cocky and in a superior complex.

But there are responsible people and mind you,

I’m just highlighting the conceited ones in a global view.

Creator of words, they believe its rizz,

But being a GOAT is temporary as a soda fizz.

The real cool is empathy and sympathy,

Some claim Gen Zs are full of apathy, so they are really skibidy.

The root cause of their problem is influence,

Possessing their minds like ghosts in a séance.

What they witness in phones through social media feeds,

Their emotions work according to the algorithm’s seeds.

It’s not true that Gen Zs are lazy,

There are young minds, startups crazy.

Companies fire Gen Z for their lack of responsibility,

They adore violence and run out of pity.

Gen Zs insist job freedom; have 2 jobs with secondary startup,

Guess old-fashioned capitalists have a lot to catch up.

They prefer to be flexible at work,

In coding & computers Gen Zs have their trademark.

Gen Zs motto “Follow your Passion”

In academics, arts or even fashion.

If a lotus can bloom in muddy water,

Change can happen even in our mind’s clutter.

We must be responsible and stronger,

Because for upcoming generations, Gen Z is the torchbearer.

So let work together you and me,

To make Gen Z as understanding as can be.
