Ticket To Cricket I Poem By Drishana, 14, Chennai

Drishana, a 14-year-old from Chennai, pens down a poem that describes a cricket match and how the game is exciting to the audience!

Ticket To Cricket I Poem By Drishana, 14, Chennai

Ticket To Cricket

A swing of the bat ,

The ball hitting the stumps,

People watching like a scared cat ,

Goosebumps all over their hands.

The ball hit for a six ,

The cheers and booes,

Heard in a mix,

The bowler is now looking for tricks.

The next one is bowled ,

Hit high up in the air,

Fielders run towards it ,

Just like a desperate hare .

The chance for a wicket ,

Has now been lost ,

The cries have stopped ,

As the catch was dropped.

The bowler has now striked ,

He screams with all his might ,

The stadium erupts in joy,

Celebrating the sight

The score has been chased down,

The batsmen wearing the winner’s crown,

Players standing with a grin

The reason – a nail biting win
