The Robot Butler

My father finished his work and came back on a rocket from Venus bringing a Robot Butler for me. His name was Mr. Hardworking. I was brimming with excitement to see it work.

I set up the robot and started trying it out after an hour. He did all the work for me. He converted our bed into a floating bed in water as per my instruction and my brother and myself were watching our favorite television show on it.

He got a trigger for the bullets and I played with Hardworking the whole day.

As he did all our work, we became extremely lazy in a few days and the robot became an indispensable part of our lives.

One day as I was bathing in Atlantic Planet’s Water Park, I took my robot and told him to swim with me. He told me that he was water-proof. Hence, he jumped into the pool but started dancing in a weird style. I told him to do the big slide. He went to the biggest slide there and broke his left hand into pieces.

I took him home but he gave me ten slaps instead. I told him to clean the room and do my homework. He cleaned my homework and my room. I went to the Galaxy’s shop with my dad to show Mr. Hardworking. The shopkeeper said that he was malfunctioning.

It was impossible to repair it. I felt extremely disappointed that from now on, my Mr. Hardworking has become Mr. Dead. He will just be a showpiece in my room.

I will need to be the same old Krishiv who will have to do all his work on his own.
