The Light in the Darkness
Something quiet spreads beneath our feet,
It lingers its gaze, watching the World’s defeat.
Its icy charm, and cunning wit,
Aware of all the crimes we were dared to commit.
Something tells me it’s going to stay,
We’re too ignorant to make it go away.
It’ll poison our minds as it thrives,
Everyone’s too busy leading their own lives.
Everything bad is happening these days,
It’s as if God’s trying to give us a warning with displays,
All the hatred in the world coming from afar,
Once joined together, will leave us with scars.
All the children and women suffering about
Wars and disasters with us throughout.
It seems as if the world is going to end,
After all not everyone can bear the pain of this (newfound) “trend”.
We turn our eyes as darkness spreads,
Its silent hands strike fear and dread.
Through every heart it threads its might,
A creeping storm that swallows light.
Yet in the corners of the night,
A silver flame begins to fight.
It threads the dark, it rends the air,
A quiet force that will not spare.
The world holds breath as time unspools,
Its currents breaking ancient rules.
A rider charges through the gloom,
A blazing edge that cleaves the doom.
The heavens blaze, the peaks descend,
The raging seas refuse to bend.
All darkness roars, its hold undone,
And shadows fall, their reign outrun.
And when the final echoes fade,
The shattered world, reborn, displayed.
No whisper lingers, none can hide,
The darkness crushed, the light its guide.
Purity has risen, the chaos must yield.
Paths etched deep on the fractured field.
Embrace the dawn or linger in decay,
The earth awakens, evil cannot stay.
