The Eerie Lift

The Creepy Encounter

I was just hanging out with my friend when we realized her sister was not where she was supposed to be. We just assumed she had gone to her friend’s house again. So, we headed towards the lift.

We always found that place creepy because it had an abandoned ironing area. It always seemed to be locked up, with only a little shelf, table, and a fan visible through the glass. Many strange buyers used to come down the stairs manually, so we stayed there and watched them.

But then, we heard voices—someone was speaking over the phone. The sound was coming from the ironing room.

A Strange Room

We looked in through a little transparent wall that was bolted to the room. The fan was on, but no one was there. We were both scared and confused.

That same day, as I was heading home, I heard glass shattering from the floor above. The next day, my friend and I heard the sound of glass shattering again—this time near the same lift. Her sister was once again nowhere to be found. We checked the lift, but she wasn’t there.

I was carrying a little drawstring bag with me. We held it tightly, and somehow, we found her sister. It felt like the drawstring bag had helped us. Eventually, we made it back home safely.

The Dog’s Warning

The next day, we noticed the dog in the balcony barking a lot. I mentioned it to my friend, and we went to see the dog. Strangely, it stopped barking when we got there. We realized it wasn’t barking at us—it was barking at something above us.

It was as if the dog had seen a ghost. It kept barking in the same direction, as if it were trying to warn us of something outside or beyond our sight.

The Silence After

The day after that, the dog was gone. Days passed. Then weeks. Maybe even months. We never saw the dog again. And strangely, the ghost seemed to be gone too. Nothing weird has happened since.

I know no one will believe us. I can only pray that the ghost won’t come back. Whatever you do—just don’t go near that lift. It is dangerous.
