The Drama

Betty had a picture-perfect life. A cool boyfriend, amazing parents and an awesome friend group—until one day. Betty’s boyfriend, James, ends up betraying her with a girl who lives near his summer house. And the girl was Betty’s best friend, Augustine. And on the same day, Betty sees divorce papers on the kitchen counter. After taking the time to realise what was going on, she found that her parents were getting divorced. A few days later, James goes to Belly’s house, begging for her forgiveness. Betty, a 15-year-old who was madly in love with him, accepted his apology. Over the next 2 weeks, James gets enlisted and leaves Betty and his family in his hometown. They write to each other every day, counting down each day till they see each other. Until one day, Betty stops receiving letters and gets a phone call. She was told that James was bombed during the battle and that he is no more. This broke Betty.

Fast forward a few years; she gets married to a rich man and moves on from James. Reflecting back on her childhood, she breaks down in tears, remembering James.
