The Curious Sparrow

In a small forest, a little sparrow named Pip was known for her curiosity. While other birds were content hopping around for worms, Pip loved to explore every nook of the woods.

One sunny morning, Pip spotted something shiny in the grass. It was a strange golden key. “What could this open?” she wondered. She showed the key to her friend, Toby the turtle.

“Maybe it unlocks the old hollow tree by the river,” Toby suggested. Pip flapped her wings excitedly and zipped to the tree. She found a small keyhole hidden near its roots.

Inserting the key, Pip turned it with a click. To her surprise, the tree creaked open to reveal a staircase winding down! Heart racing, Pip followed the steps into a secret underground room glowing with soft golden light. Inside, she found jars filled with glowing nectar and piles of colourful seeds.

A tiny fairy appeared and said, “You found my treasure! These are magical gifts for animals who help the forest. You are brave and curious, so take some seeds to plant for the forest animals.”

Pip promised to share the seeds wisely. She flew back to her friends, telling them the story. Together, they planted the magical seeds, which grew into trees bearing fruits of all colours.

From that day on, Pip wasn’t just the curious sparrow—she was the hero who brought a little magic to the forest. And every evening, the animals would thank her under the colourful trees.
