Book review : The Christmas Pig by J.K.Rowling
I am a huge fan of J.K. Rowling’s work and The Christmas Pig did not disappoint. Her ability to create such a vivid fantasy world always keeps me eagerly anticipating the next part of the story!
I received this book as a Christmas gift and I devoured every page. As an 11-year-old, this was my first venture into the world of novel fairy tales and I was captivated!
The story follows Jake, a young boy who cherishes his toy pig, “DP”, with all his heart.
From the moment Jake received his toy pig as a baby, he has cherished it, cuddling it every night as he sleeps.
On Christmas Eve, a surprising and thrilling event occurs, leading Jake on a perilous journey through the World of Losts to find something he holds dear. He must return home in time or risk being lost forever!
I am inspired by Jake’s bravery to follow his heart. He faces danger head-on to save his beloved toy pig.
This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. The cozy beginning had me hooked, and I found myself reading for hours on end!
I went from laughing out loud at the start to shedding tears of joy by the end!
The powerful moral of the story is clear: You should be strong on your beliefs and this will lead to success!
I highly recommend The Christmas Pig to readers between 8 and 12 years old.
This book is sure to make a lasting impression on you!
“Losing is part of living. But some of us live even though we’re lost. That’s what love does” -DP”
