The Bear and The Eagle: A Tale of Unlikely Friendship

Deep in the Unknown Forest

The Bear And The Eagle - Fable I Story By Shivansh

In a forest far away, deep in the unknown lands, where food was abundant and the sun shone bright, there lived two creatures very different in size and characteristics, a bear, Alfred and an eagle, Judah. They, one day, stumbled upon each other while hunting for food, and then decided to stay together because they thought that they would make a good match.

An Unusual Partnership

The relationship between the two was a good but unconventional one. Each of them went their separate ways in the morning, hunting for whatever food they could forage for. Alfred would settle for meat but was addicted to honey. Judah would gather worms, meat, insects and leaves. At noon, the friends would meet at a clearing where they would eat their lunches. The same would continue till sunset when it would be dinnertime. Alfred would stealthily scamper around for prey, and when prey was found, rush in for the kill (or lick). Then, he would share the non-vegetarian share of the food he acquired with his friend.

Trouble Begins

One day, Alfred was rushing in to kill a bird with his claws, when in came Judah, injuring him and stealing Alfred’s prey. Alfred swore in his mind that Judah would pay dearly for this, as he sat nursing his wound.

The Final Meeting

That happened a day later, when Judah came to the clearing, hoping to meet Alfred for lunch. He could not notice Alfred standing right behind him, rushing in for the kill. He was dead before he hit the ground, due to a claw puncture to the stomach His guts and spine could be seen flying out along with the trachea. Alfred roasted and ate Judah for lunch.

Moral of the Story
