A Tacit Reply I Poem By Drishana,14,Chennai

A Tacit Reply

Is she mute?

Or is she being a spook?

When she didn’t choose to speak,

They considered her weak..

People had a nice laugh,

When she was called a chaff,

But she continued to keep mum,

To her, none of them was a chum.

Then came the time,

When her gains became sublime,

She now has everything ,

The browbeaters can only dream

It was her turn to titter,

At people who were bitter,

But once again she kept quiet,

Letting them seethe in envy.
