Surprise Invitation: A Christmas Party Next Door
One day, after returning from school, I was surprised to receive an invitation to a Christmas party. It was from our new neighbours, who had shifted next door very recently. She was a girl, roughly my age. I was on cloud nine. I love parties.
Even though I felt a little awkward that the neighbour was unknown to me, the party was exciting. There were lots of sweets, like cookies and Christmas cakes. We played all kinds of games and participated in a lot of activities too. The best part was when all of us got beautiful presents back. I got some Christmas decorations for my tree, a cupcake, and a pencil box. I met all my building friends and cousins. We saw many Christmas programmes, including listening to the choir sing Christmas songs and listening to the story of the birth and life of Jesus Christ. That was performed in the form of a play.
I was glad that I was invited to the party, as I not only met old friends but also made new ones.
