Stargazing by the Riverbank

A Peaceful Evening with Family

Daddy, Mother, Sister, my dog and I visit a beautiful riverbank, around which the pine trees grow to explore the delights of stargazing. Here, the sun melts into the mountains afar, creating picturesque scenery.

Setting Up Camp

Mom lays the mat on the soft green grass behind me; I am standing at the edge of the river where the grass reaches my knees. Dad takes my dog, Chase, for a walk. In family camping, Mummy and I put up the tentand when they come back, daddy helps us with the food.

Nature’s Magic at Night

Stargazing by the Riverbank I Story By Radhya, 10, Kolkata

The bushes bare fireflies which I only notice when the sun is down. The sun has now completely vanished and uncloaked the stars and moon. The beautiful, round moon acts like a bedside bulb. We enjoy eating some sandwiches, as my dog runs around the bank and fetches a long, crooked stick.

A Night to Remember

The whole scenery gives us a calming sensation. The cool winds passing by our unburdened minds. This makes me ponder on how high the sky really stretches. I am mesmerized by the constellations and daddy fills me in on facts about space. The view is breath-taking.

Looking Forward

To share this extraordinary experience, I will visit soon, with friends. Till then, I hope those constellations continue to shine brightly!
