Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory : Book review
This book has been written by Roald Dahl and illustrated by Quentin Blake.
I watched the movie and got intrigued to read this book.
Let me give you a summary. There is a boy, Charlie. He lives with his family in an old, small cottage. An interesting personality, Willy Wonka, opens a tremendous chocolate factory which is one of a kind in the world with small creatures working- The Oompa Loompas.
Wonka decides to allow five kids to his factory. He hides five lucky golden tickets and whoever gets it from any of the countries, gets a chance to go inside for a factory tour. Charlie is one of the fortunate ones who gets a chance.
When he goes inside, he finds himself in a wonderful place where everything is edible. Wonka authorises them to eat whatever they want. What happens next is a lot of fun but also a lesson on doing the right thing. Do read to know further.
The story is perfect for me, no changes needed. I give this book 5 stars/5 stars. It is good for 7+ kids.
