One day, the sky was bright and cheerful as the sun was blazing. The clouds woke up and stopped covering the sun.  My friend, Soujanya and I were just casually hanging out on a Sunday. The day was going very smoothly. We hadn’t realised or thought that anything weird or scary would happen. All of a sudden, I got an idea in my head. I told Soujanya I wanted to play an old game we hadn’t played in ages. She agreed, and so we proceeded to go to my house. When we reached, I took her to my room and booted up my laptop. I was just talking to her about how much my school project was going on.

When the computer turned on. The first window I saw spelled out the words ‘Beware.’  I quickly called Soujanya to look at this, but the window just closed before she could reach it. I was freaked out, but she told me not to worry. I quickly opened up the game. The game took longer than usual to open. The game was named ‘Chaoss’.

I didn’t bother about it taking long, but as soon as the loading screen disappeared, my laptop started making weird whirring noises. There was this feeling that we were transported to the video game world. Suddenly, the whole world went purple. Soujanya and I were not able to see anything. Before we knew it, we were inside the game. My parents were out, and there was no one to help us. The game’s mechanism worked like this: You would get trapped inside a hotel and need to escape. Soujanya and I got inside the elevator, and the door closed. Bright, cheerful elevator music started to play.

We enjoyed the short time we had until the music stopped and we reached the hotel. My heart pounded. A few doors later, the light flickered, and we both knew better. We hid in a closet, and the light bulbs broke. A monster of unimaginable horror.

A few hours later, we both approached a long hallway. A monster with one eye started to chase us down. We somehow escaped. In the next room was another elevator, and a sign said: “You made it, or did you ?” We quickly got in, and the same monster with one eye jumped on us as the elevator went down. Without feeling anything, we were teleported back to the real world.
