My Favourite Author – Sudha Murty
One day, our English teacher told us that we were going to meet the famous writer, Mrs. Sudha Murty. I was so excited about meeting her, but then she told us that only five students would be selected, and those five should have the best questions. I was scared, so I did my best and tried to write the best questions. Then, the English teacher called out five names, and mine was the last. I was thrilled to meet Mrs. Sudha Murty.
The next day, five students and a few more kids from other classes came to the library and sat down. The teacher joined us for the online call with Mrs. Sudha Murty. When I asked my question, I was a little nervous, but I managed it. The question I asked her was, “How do you get ideas and how do you work on them?” She said she does not always think of ideas; she looks at her surroundings and gets ideas for her books. She spoke fluently and clearly enough for me to understand all her words. That’s how I met Mrs. Sudha Murty and asked her the question. I have read a few of her books and would like to name two of them: “Grandma’s Bag of Stories” and “Gopi Diaries Part 1.”
I still remember that three years ago, my mom bought me the first storybook written by Mrs. Sudha Murty. I was inspired by her narrative, and it was a great opportunity to meet my favorite author. A very big thanks to my school for arranging this exchange.
